In the last month many people asked me on skype do I know how to fix missing or not loading profiles on ETS2 after the game has been patched to 1.4.8 from an older version. I got tired of explaining this to each person every day and every minute, so I decided to post this topic here and hopefully it will help someone.So, here are my steps how to fix this problem:1. Right click on your 'profile(s)' folder and select 'Archive to profile(s).rar'.2.b. When archiving is complete move the archive to another location. Or another partition - even better.3. Start the patcher and wait for it to do its work.4. When it's complete close it.5. Open the newly created archive 'profile(s).rar' and extract the profile(s) folder inside it to 'C.DocumentsEuro Truck Simulator 2' and if windows explorer asks you whether to replace files and folders - confirm.Basically, what I do is very simple: copy (or compress) the profiles folder to another location and then put it back. This is a workaround for the bug this game has ever since v1.3 - when the game is patched it won't find the profiles that are already there, so you need to close the game and force it to refresh.
